Who we are

Marcus Schaub is a research associate and conducts the ozone research within the Division for Forest Ecosystems and Ecological Risks at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL. Marcus Schaub is a member of the Validation Center for the Assessment of Ozone Injury for Central Europe. He developed the concept, selected text and pictures and maintains the data base and the web site.
John L. Innes is a Professor and FRBC Chair of Forest Management at the Faculty of Forestry of the University of British Columbia UBC, Canada and is a member of the IUFRO Executive Board. John Innes is senior author of the ozone guide 'Ozone and broadleaved species, a guide to the identification of ozone-induced foliar injury - Ozon, Laubholz- und Krautpflanzen, ein Führer zum Bestimmen von Ozonsymptomen' by John Innes, John Skelly and Marcus Schaub. Most of the information included in the data base originates from the ozone guide.
John M. Skelly is a Professor of Plant Pathology in the Department of Plant Pathology with an appointment in the Environmental Resources Research Institute IRRI at the Pennsylvania State University PSU, USA. John Skelly is second author of the ozone guide and a participating member of the research team dealing with ozone effects on forest plant species as a partner of the WSL.
Peter Jakob developed the data bank and the connection to the web site. He is responsible for the data management within the Division for Forest Ecosystems and Ecological Risks at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL. Together with Luzi Bernhard he helped to develop various web sites, such as the LTFER publications data base.
Luzi Bernhard developed the software design and the layout for the web site. Luzi Bernhard is the GIS-specialist within the Division for Forest Ecosystems and Ecological Risks at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL.
Norbert Kräuchi is head of the Division for Forest Ecosystems and Ecological Risks at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL. He is project leader of the Swiss Long-term Forest Ecosystem Research Network LWF and closely involved in a number of international projects such as COST E25, where he acts as a member of the steering committee.
